William Kanarick

Chief Marketing Officer

A brand is no longer something that consumers merely buy from; it’s something they interact with. And, regardless of whom we’re helping, be it a SapientNitro or Sapient Global Markets client, that reality has forever changed how brands engage with their customers in this new, technology-enabled world. Fortunately, Sapient’s rich, technological heritage gives us a distinct advantage, allowing us to establish and foster long lasting, valuable relationships with consumers on behalf of all our clients.

William (Bill) Kanarick oversees the sales and corporate marketing functions for Sapient across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, including the evolution of the company’s brand and its go-to-market strategies and offerings.

Over the past 12 years, Kanarick has held a variety of leadership positions at Sapient, including driving the evolution of Sapient’s interactive business and, more recently, leading the acquisition of Nitro Group to form SapientNitro.

Prior to his role leading Sapient’s Interactive practice in North America, Kanarick spent six years in Europe, where he helped lead the company’s growth in that region from 2000 – 2006, including its expansion beyond the UK to a significant presence on the continent.  Throughout his career, Kanarick has built and grown highly successful businesses in both Europe and North America.

Kanarick’s roots are in business strategy, where he has consistently helped clients to build businesses and create sustainable value propositions for their brands. He has regularly served as a key advisor to senior clients on the application of technology to improve customer relationships.

Before joining Sapient, Kanarick was the head of client services at Boston-based Pamet Marketing Technologies and a successful entrepreneur, having started and sold a boutique marketing consultancy in Boston which, in 1994, focused on the application of technology and analytics to drive brand growth.

Bill graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Boston University.
